You Deserve the Best

“You deserve the best.
Never feel unworthy or not justified in having the best.
I tell you, this is your heritage; but, you have to accept it.
You have to expect it; you have to claim it.
To do so is not demanding too much.”

– Guru Deva, Swami Brahmananda Saraswati

Most of us see the new year as a time to refresh, reflect, and recommit to what matters most. As part of my own ongoing journey of growth, I’ll heading to India next week for 10 days to further my knowledge and deepen my practice. This trip will also allow me to offer more advanced techniques and training to my students, and I can’t wait to share that with you. Despite having gone through a rigorous training to become a Vedic instructor, I’m still a student, too.

Looking out toward 2018 got me thinking about how our future gets created by what we do today. Think about it: What are the choices you’re making today and are they aligned with what you say your want for your future?

Starting off the new year with daily meditation not only sets the tone for building healthy habits, but it actually helps retrain your brain. Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to form new connections and essentially rewire itself, which means that it’s possible over time to establish new thought patterns and behaviors that better serve us. Vedic meditation is known to be an access to that.

Being committed to a meditation practice helps us be more present in the now so we can more easily create the future. It quiets the noise and gives us the clarity to make the choices that will make a real difference for ourselves and others on a daily basis.

It’s why so many of the world’s most successful and high-powered leaders, entrepreneurs, and celebrities not only practice this technique, but attribute it to being a key source of their personal and professional success. This article from entrepreneurial guru, Tim Ferriss showcases how 90% of top business owners say meditation is THE HABIT that’s had the greatest impact on their success.

So, why not commit to yourself? As Guru Deva says in the quote above, you deserve the best.

Wishing YOU all the best in 2018!

With Peace and Love,

Kelli
