Kelli Douglas

Hi, I’m Kelli Douglas - single mother, committed consciousness explorer, and former real estate exec turned passionate meditation teacher. After just a few months of practicing Vedic Meditation, I knew I had to share this with everyone I could. So, I travelled to India to begin training with some of the most renowned Vedic masters in the world. In 2016 I started teaching full time and I opened up The Meditation Studio in New York City. It’s an an honor and a privilege to witness my students lives change as a result of this practice and support a community of meditators here in the big apple. I am especially excited to lead a retreat to Bali. It is one of my favorite places on in the world. I cant wait to share this magical experience with you!

Jill Wener

Hi, I’m Jill Wener! Until 2015, I was a practicing Internal Medicine doctor at a busy hospital in Chicago. I was your typical type-A skeptical doctor until I learned Vedic Meditation in 2011, during a period of profound burnout. Not only did it fix my burnout, it completely changed my life. After my first advanced meditation retreat in 2014, I decided to become a teacher in this incredible meditation tradition, and in 2015, I left my clinical medical practice to spend 3 months at teacher training in India.

I work with a lot of stressed-out people- both in and out of healthcare- using Vedic meditation (I now call it Conscious Health Meditation) and tapping (also known as the Emotional Freedom Technique). Each day, I’m so grateful that I get to teach these incredible tools that empower people like you to manage their stress, improve their lives, and expand their consciousness. I’m SO excited to lead this retreat with Kelli, and I can’t wait to see you in Bali!

The Accomodations

High in the hillside; some might say, between heaven and earth; embraced by rice fields and rainforest climbs, our ethic and ethnic chic luxury, Ubud Nestling Escape awaits guests with a penchant for peace and relaxation. Stay with us and discover the secrets of this intoxicating town. Ubud, the beating heart of Bali, is the place to experience life in Bali’s countryside, where every being is interconnected. Enjoy the tranquility of the village and let the rhythm of nature set your pace throughout the day, from rising early with the roosters to cooling down with the sunset. Expect a union with natural surroundings from the luxurious comfort of our rooms; the large windows and semi-outdoor bathroom in some of our rooms will connect you with our green gardens along with the inhabitants and their unique habits.

Where should I fly into?

Please plan to fly into the capital of Bali which is Denpasar (DPS), you will need to arrive by 3p on June 15. Plan to leave from Ubud at 2p or later on June 22. If you are flying from the US, please remember that it takes almost a full day to get to Bali, so you will need to account for this time so that you ARRIVE on June 15!

I’ve learned other types of meditation. Do I need to know Vedic Meditation to come on this retreat?

If you do not already practice Vedic Meditation, you are still very welcome on the retreat! We will be offering instruction in Vedic meditation on the retreat for an extra fee, which will be required for anyone who does not already practice this style of meditation.

I don’t know how to meditate. Will I be able to learn Vedic Meditation on this retreat?

Do I need insurance? What kind of insurance should I get?

We highly recommend both trip cancellation and medical insurance. We love Zentripy Global Insurance because they are an independently owned small business, but you are welcome to use any insurance company you like!

What if I need to cancel?

All early-bird registrations are non-refundable for ANY reason, and all general registrations are non-refundable for any reason after March 10. General registration is refundable prior to March 10 minus the $500 initial deposit. If you’d like to transfer your registration to another person, you are welcome to do so at your own time and cost. As mentioned above, we highly recommend trip cancellation insurance for any last-minute emergencies!

Do I need a visa to visit Bali?

Most U.S. tourists are eligible for a Visa on Arrival at Bali's airport. This visa allows tourists to stay in Indonesia for up to 30 days, with a possible extension of an additional 30 days. The requirements for this type of visa are: a passport with at least two blank pages that is valid for at least six months from the day you enter Indonesia, a return airline ticket and the visa processing fee which is approximately $35.

Are tips included?

Yes! Trip prices include tips at our group meals, accommodations and excursions.
