Practicing Vedic meditation helps the mind to de-excite. As the mind settles down, the body experiences a state of relaxation that’s even deeper than sleep—much deeper, actually. This extremely deep rest detoxifies and rebalances the nervous system, essentially empowering the body to heal itself.

If you’re wondering how far on the “monk spectrum” you have to go to reap these rewards, have no fear. Practicing Vedic doesn’t mean swearing off your smartphone, wearing priestly robes, or taking on a new name. Not even close.
Despite being one of the oldest forms of meditation, Vedic meditation is meant for modern living.
This simple practice involves sitting comfortably with your eyes closed for just 20 minutes, twice a day. There is no effort, concentration, or focus.

I’m Kelli Douglas—single mother, committed consciousness explorer, and former real estate broker turned passionate meditation teacher. I’m on a mission to bring this simple yet powerful ancient practice to modern people, because, let’s face it—life can be hard. The good news is, meditation doesn’t have to be.
What you’ll get with me is a very practical, supportive, and straightforward approach. Unlike other teachers, I offer a great deal of personal, one-on-one attention to ensure you’re completely supported in your practice before, during, and after The Meditation Class.
Trainings occur in intimate groups over the course of four days on NYC’s Upper West Side. Each day’s session is about 90 minutes long, and at the end of the four days, you’ll be able to continue your Vedic practice entirely on your own. Trust me, you’ll want to!
You’ll also receive additional follow-up support and have access to ongoing group meditations with a new community of like-minded practitioners.
