Meditation isn’t just for monks—it’s for all of us. I am on a mission to bring this simple yet powerful ancient practice to modern people with complicated lives.

MEDITATION_STUDIO-74

I’m Kelli Douglas—single mother, committed consciousness explorer, and former real estate broker turned passionate meditation teacher. I’m on a mission to bring this simple yet powerful ancient practice to modern people, because, let’s face it—life can be hard. The good new is, meditation doesn’t have to be.

THE MEDITATION STUDIO

Welcome to your meditation home away from home. Thoughtfully designed to promote peace, invite gentle introspection, and align the local meditation community, The Meditation Studio is an intimate Upper West Side respite from the noise of New York City—and your overactive mind.

Here, you’ll get consistent support around integrating the powerful practice of meditation into everyday life. You’ll also learn to lighten up in the process.

When you become a Meditation Class graduate, you get lifetime access—not just to me as your dedicated instructor, but to this space and its community of meditators. You also get access to the wild mix of equally entertaining and enlightening events only offered here. Think: The Beatles Meets Meditation—over chai tea!

WHAT IS THE MEDITATION CLASS?

I teach a style of meditation called Vedic Meditation which is unlike anything you’ve ever tried before. Surprisingly simple and straightforward in its approach, Vedic is meditation for real people. But, while its technique is practically effortless, its effects are significant, undeniable, and immediate.

AMONG THE MANY PROVEN BENEFITS, REGULAR PRACTITIONERS EXPERIENCE:

  • Decreased stress and anxiety
  • Better sleep and more energy
  • Increased creativity and self expression
  • Sharper senses of focus, alertness, clarity, and recall
  • Improved mental and physical health
  • Deeper, more meaningful relationships
  • Feelings of groundedness and alignment, peace and presence, joy and aliveness

Sounds good, right?!

If you’re wondering how far on the “monk spectrum” you have to go to reap these rewards, have no fear. Practicing Vedic doesn’t mean swearing off your smartphone, wearing priestly robes, or taking on a new name. Not even close.

Despite being one of the oldest forms of meditation, Vedic meditation is meant for modern living.

This simple practice involves sitting comfortably with your eyes closed for just 20 minutes, twice a day. There is no effort, concentration, or focus. It’s so easy, anyone can do it!

"I saw benefits right away after learning to meditate. My productivity level started to increase pretty intensely and I found myself having a major burst of creativity.  I have noticed a base sense of ease and comfort in myself , going through the day with much less fear of projection of the future , a sense of more compassion for others and myself, and being more open to new ideas and experiences as well as a general feeling of more energy and restfulness in my days. I found this practice and the right teacher for me exactly when I needed it in my life and I can’t wait to see what unfolds next with it."

Ian Love, Composer

The ultimate goal is to integrate your practice into your life in way that’s realistic, seamless, and consistent.

THE BIOLOGICAL BENEFITS:

Practicing Vedic meditation helps the mind to de-excite. As the mind settles down, the body experiences a state of relaxation that’s even deeper than sleep—much deeper, actually. This extremely deep rest detoxifies and rebalances the nervous system, essentially empowering the body to heal itself.

YOU, ME, AND THE MEDITATION CLASS.

You’ll also receive additional follow-up support and have access to ongoing group meditations with a new community of like-minded practitioners.

Connect with me now to schedule your complimentary consultation, and let’s get you one step closer to what your mind, body, and spirit are seeking.

"I am really amazed by the relaxing quality of the technique. I am also very shocked that I 'crave' meditation, which has NEVER been the case with before. The 20 mins pass very quickly and I felt bliss and a sense of safety like everything is alright and I belong here."
